Our Meetings

We have a fairly structured programme of meetings at Forest Hills Hotel with ususally the first Thursday in the month a slightly more formal dinner meeting and the third Thursday a business meeting with a buffet dinner. There are 10 dinner meetings and 11 business meetings scheduled in the current Rotary year. Each November we celebrate the founding of our club in 1978 with our Charter Dinner.

1st Thursday in the month 7.00 for 7.30 pm:

Our dinner and friendship meeting for members, visiting Rotarians, and prospective members and can include a speaker when arranged.

3rd Thursday in the month 7.00 for 7.30 pm:

This is the main business meeting and its purpose is for the planning and organising of all our activities. It is for members, visiting Rotarians, and prospective members with the agreement of the President. Each meeting is split into two sessions where, after the buffet, the five teams meet independently to do their work. The meeting then re-convenes for each Team Leader to report back to the whole club. Club members then vote to appove donations and other expenditure.

2nd and 4th Thursdays in the month:

These are reserved for purely Social Meetings some at Forest Hills and some in pubs and other entertainment venues.

Council Meetings

The Club Council comprises the Officers and the Team Leaders of each of the five Teams. It meets every six to eight weeks, normally on a Thursday evening at 6.30 pm at Forest Hills Hotel. The present officers are as follows:
